I looked up David Icke after TS mentioned him, having not heard of him, on Wikipedia. What a nutter, what with that and the mention of 'Paul is dead' I was wondering if anyone had heard, or even believed in, any more good conspiracy theories worth mentioning. I don't really go into that sort of thing myself, but it can often make entertaining conversation.

There's the one about the moon landings being filmed in a TV studio. I once interviewed one of the last astronauts to land on the moon. He said the moon landings were genuine, but that the US government was covering up about aliens.
This wasn't for PS. Obviously.

You have to tell us more! What did he actually say?

You could be the next Earls Von Daniken!

This used to be the first thing I came across when I looked up my name on Google (oh, stop pretending you haven't done it too). However, when I Googled myself just now, the first page featured the trial of a John Earls for murder and a rather disturbing URL that appeared to be stories by John Earls that got blocked by my PC's net nanny "under the category of sex".

Bugger - the webpage no longer exists on that address, Earls, but I found it here:

CLICKY

""I AM an American astronaut and a trained scientist. Because of my position people in high places confide in me. And, as a result, I have no doubt that aliens HAVE visited this planet."

You know, I may have seen a documentary with that ex-astronaut in, saying much the same thing.

I'm sure he released a book, too, which is always a bit dubious. But, maybe I'm thinking of the wrong guy.

Still, it is a scarily interesting subject.
