And then there's the fact that The Rolling Stones (The Rolling Fucking Stones!!!) were far behind Alanis Morisette it was painful. The fact somebody voted repeatedly for The Libertines to get them into the Top 50 when they'll be forgotten in five years is also laughable - since we all know who it probably was...

And anyone with half a brain (ah...) knows Revolver is the only Beatles album worth anything, to be honest. Sgt Pepper's and The White Album are self-indulgant crap.

I'm off on one, aren't I?

You... you have half a brain?

The Masters Degree will back me up on this one...

Pah! Typical Beatles extremism. I laugh at your feeble attempt.

Here's one for ya. Ordered a T-shirt from SST records, home of such influential american hardcore and alternative bands as black flag, husker du and the minutemen, saying "Corporate rock still sucks". Gets here, I'm liking it, then it turns out the T-shirt it's printed on was probably manufactured in a Haitan sweat shop where people are paid about 25p an hour.

Laugh? I nearly cried. Damn it, another idealistic illusion gone.

Sigur Ros Fan had me chuckling this morning with their usual highly witty, original, relevant, razor sharp form of wit.

No, wait, I was laughing at the pathetic fucker. Yeesh, at least Pinsent has a kitsch charm...

Reading about MUPLC fans ripping up their season tickets in disgust at Malcolm Glazier's takeover - an away game against Southampton is all that's left on it, so it's an empty gesture if ever there was one...

I'm not clever enough to laugh at any of this stuff.

You don't find Justin Lee Collins funny, do you?

Always worth checking, you see...

The Simpsons (obviously), with particular attention to seasons 4-8, Futurama, Family Guy, 'I'm Alan Partridge' (both series), Brass Eye, The Day Today, Peep Show, Father Ted, The Armando Iannuchi Shows, Red Dwarf, The Office,.

That was basically just a list.

In about exactly two minutes I wager I'll re-read this post and realise how stupid I've been in forgetting 'X show', but I refuse, in advance, to edit it. This list alone will have to be my comedy valve representation on this site forever more. Big up Yo' Rib.

Not strictly comedy, but i laughed at this: http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/TV/01/16/f...nd.election.ap/

also, having briefly flicked through, i saw no mention of Look Around You (the first series particularly). of course, there's every chance that I mentioned it earlier, but just in case.

to finish, whilst very hungover the other morning, i was hit with the fuzzy memory of phoning someone at the height of my alcohol-and-chelsea-victory-fuelled bonhomie. so, i decided to text an apology. I very nearly sent the following message:

"hey, sorry about last night, i was really drunk and i think i rimmed you. Hope I didn't wake you up x"

Turns out 'rimmed' and 'phoned' use the same buttons, and the predictive text apparently considers the former to be more commonly used.

And how could i forget! I got the Richard Pryor box-set for x-mas, 9 CDs of live material and unreleased gubbins. absolutely brilliant, especially the 'Wanted - Live in Concert' discs.

The IT Crowd is pretty darned funny, considering I was expecting it to be an overhyped humour vacuum (i.e. The Green Wing). My Name Is Earl is also rather witty.

Also prolapsed with laughter when Middlesbrough beat Chelsea 3-0 last weekend.
